With more than a decade of experience behind him, Xavier Garcia is a professional in the tourism sector with an extensive career in hospitality and in the startup ecosystem of Catalonia. Since October 2022, he has been serving as Cluster Manager of the Tech Tourism Cluster (TTC), an organization formed by companies, technology centers, universities and business associations to make Catalonia a benchmark in tourism technology at an international level.A graduate in Tourism from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), his previous experiences include his time at successful startups such as Waynabox or the Greek Welcome Pickups, which he helped consolidate its presence in Barcelona; and, above all, his time as Director of Innovation of the Gremi d'Hotels de Barcelona, a position he held between 2019 and 2022, and which was marked by his desire to develop and transform a traditional sector by introducing new concepts and methodologies existing in the market.

He led the Travel Innovation Hub, now known as Barcelona Travel Hub, a community of experts in the tourism and travel sector linked to the technological and digital environment. The main objective was to connect and share knowledge with different hubs to promote the creation of synergies and enhance open innovation in the industry, always keeping in mind the principles of sustainability and quality. Also noteworthy is his participation in the constitution of the World Traveltech Forum, in his role as representative of the hotel association, a group of international hubs
