As founder, co-founder or project coordinator of various organisations and institutions in Europe and Japan, I have matured a 2 decades-long experience in the design, coordination and implementation of a range of events, spanning from exhibitions to Seminar and Conferences to Ministry/Embassy level meetings, and other business, cultural and diplomatic events.

Since 2013, my project management and consulting skills have supported small organisations, start ups and local administrations in cross-border network building and knowledge sharing activities, related to environmental sustainability, social innovation, and the planning of a socio-economic model fit for post-growth societies.

Experiences

Climate change and circularity: contributing to carbon neutrality, the circular economy and sustainable mobility.

I have helped a number of small business, start-ups, craftsmen and local communities rediscovering, updating and up-skilling local traditional knowledge, and supported them in the promotion of the implicit sustainability of traditional know-how and the circularity of local economies, also through the organisation or participation in international events. I have also designed short term internship program for professionals and students on sustainable and circular practices.

Governance and impact: regenerative business models with lasting impact, cross-sector and local communities’ platforms, profitability and tech access.

Through the social innovation/social business platforms 'Hasekura Program', 'Next Commons Lab' and the NPO Yamasatonet, I have been supporting the acceleration of small regenerative business practices, as well as know-how sharing between European and Japanese micro enterprises.

I have also participated, as project partner, tutor or advisor, in EU-funded projects focused on shared governance/community participation (SONEC), and sustainable tourism (Interreg MEN, TRACE Pj); through the citizen empowerment platforms To Know & SEMI, I have promoted participatory democratic practices among citizens

Other experiences

For the last 2 decades, I have gained a solid reputation as planner and organiser of fieldworks, exhibitions, workshops, international students internships and other tailor-made programs for specialists in Europe and Japan, on topics such as organic farming, gastronomy, architecture, art crafts or design, always with a strong focus on sustainable practices and tradition-based innovation.

I also conduct independent market/sector research, to help SMEs understand foreign markets or learn sector-specific knowledge.

I regularly design and coordinate trips with a strong responsible-tourism touch, for small niche interests groups.
